Cosmicstar Records was founded in 1995 by Peter Leckie, and operates as an independent record label within the PGL Media Group.

Throughout the label's relatively short history, it has released over thirty albums of inspirational, meditative and ethnic music for exclusive niche markets such as rhythmic background music for meditation and magick, relaxing themes for counselling, healing and regression therapies and the like.

In November 2011, Cosmicstar Records decided a search to create an inhouse creative writing and performance team that would enable the label to fine tune its product for an ever-discerning clientele.
